We love seeing you in class each week. We love making music with you in person each week. We know you love seeing each other and connecting with friends and your community. We all know we cannot meet in person, at least for now. With that in mind we have moved the Spring 2020 classes online. To register, click here.

What will that look like?

  • 15 minute interactive videos of songs, movement, using household items as instruments (you will be amazed at what instruments we can make from things in our house!), ideas to continue exploring at anytime, using music to calm and lift emotions, changing words to songs, using the music to support emotional, social and cognitive developement and of course music development, as we always do.
  • The videos will be livestreamed 3 times a week using a private Facebook group.
  • The videos will be saved for you to watch at a time that is more convenient for you or to watch again. Or, you can watch them without your child for a multitude of ideas on how to make music with them while at home - which is where we all are!
  • You will receive a digital download code for the music and the songbook. There are new, never heard before Music Together® songs in both the Maracas and Sea Turtle (Rhythm Kids) collection this spring! Having the music and songbook at home is one of the aspects which has always made Music Together the gold standard of Early Childhood Music Making. The videos will help you make the most of the music and songbook, providing the developmental support we know your child needs, emotionally and cognitively and of course musically. The social aspect we know needs support will look at little different: they can still sing with friends who are also joining us online, they can still dance to the music, they can still connect with grandparents giving them a lift too by sharing a song, you can still have a dance party, you can still use tupperware as percussion, you can still sing with your neighbours over the back yard fence or from front door step!
  • The online classes will be designed to support you in supporting your child, in your own home.

What it won't look like:

  • Your child sitting still staring, mouth-open at the screen! We recognise that many of us don't want our kids in front of the screen for any time at all or at least limit that screen time. The 15 minute videos will engage your child, give you ways of engaging your child and sometimes ask them to pause the video and go and get something (e.g. a sock, teddy bear, block etc.) to use while music-making with us and sometimes we'll ask them to bring something specific for the next class.
  • Sit down and don't move! We never ask children to sit still in class and we won't be expecting that now either.

We've priced the online session so that as many as possible can join, we know everyone is thinking of how this crisis will affect them financially. Our goal is to continue being able to provide high-quality eearly childhood music classes after this crisis is over and in the meantime continue to pay our teaching team whilst physical classes are on hold. We believe whole-heartedly in making music accessible to everyone, for everyone to share the numerous benefits, especially at a time like this. The session is $95, your downloads are included in that.
